I have a couple of new books to read, Andy Warhol's 'Beauty' and Pierre Assouline's 'Henri Cartier-Bresson A Biography'. Thinking of framing a few of the photos. Getting some printed out to see how they look. Both these artists have influenced me recently. I also looked at Bresson's book 'The Decisive Moment' and although I don't own that one it is definitely on my reading list. Perhaps I should go to the library more often. Bath has a lovely library and quite modern. I also work at a bookshop, the Oxfam bookshop in Lower Borough Walls Bath. Which is also well worth a look if you're interested in art & architecture, or children's books. There's a good selection. I really liked Bresson's style of street photography and Andy Warhol's portraits and found out more about them via image searches online. I hope to post more about them in the future. I have also recently acquired a copy of Iris Murdoch's 'The Sea, The Sea' which I found at Walcot Women's refuge shop, on walcot street. That is another good resource for amateur photographers, as they have a large collection of frames, and they are based near a frame shop. I find framing can be the most expensive part of any photography project. I recently passed through Frome on my way back from St Austell Cornwall, we passed through a National Trust garden on the way which was fantastic. Frome is a wonderful town with lovely parks and bijou boutiques and has a very urbane feel. I also explored a bit more of Kensignton meadows and did a bit of portraiture recently.

So I have a few irons in the fire. It was suggested that we do an exhibition, for the Raise project, but that is on hold for now. Until I become a bit more prominent and experienced. I may go a bit 'Off Piste' we'll have to wait and see, I feel that ecology is a very broad church and that there is a lot to it. Also I have several photo projects in the pipeline so watch this space. Print making is a really big interest of mine and I am very interested in how we can reuse pieces of scrap, like lino, cardboard and even wood and use it to create new artworks. There was a big movement in art that did that, called Arte Povera, I've only seen one example by Cesar in Berlin.

I am starting a new course soon at Lackham college so there's that to look forward to. There's a weblink: https://www.wiltshire.ac.uk/course/rhs-level-2-certificate-in-practical-horticulture/

Also I'm interested in courses in linocut of course these are run from the folkhouse in Bristol. The little logo in the taskbar is one one my linocuts that I made on a recent course with Rob Grieve;

That's it for today! I'm enjoying my 45th birthday, going to bake a few browines. Thanks for sharing.
